Travelzoo Announces 2010 Travelzoo Award Finalists
Travel and Entertainment Companies Honored by Travelzoo for Providing the Best Deals in the U.S. and Canada
NEW YORK, Sept. 29 - Travelzoo (Nasdaq: TZOO), a global Internet media company, announced the finalists for the 2010 Travelzoo® Awards today. Also known as “The Tzoos,” the Travelzoo Awards celebrate the companies behind the best travel and entertainment deals of the year. The 17 categories honor companies in the airline, hotel, vacation, cruise, destination, ground transportation and entertainment industries. Travelzoo’s team of more than 100 deal experts evaluated over 80,000 deals published in the United States and Canada to select the five finalists in each category that provided the best deals over the past year.

Travelzoo Award finalists will be honored and winners will be announced at the fourth annual Travelzoo Awards gala ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at the Westin Kierland in Phoenix. The awards ceremony coincides with The PhoCusWright Conference, which attracts more than 800 travel industry professionals.
To determine the Travelzoo Award finalists of 2010, Travelzoo’s deal experts evaluated more than 80,000 deals published in the United States and Canada in a 12-month period on the following five-point scale:
1. Quality: Travelzoo’s deal experts regularly consult with more than
2,000 travel and entertainment companies around the world to uncover
the best offers. Deals provided by finalist companies offered
outstanding value based on market research and are considered the
“best of the best”.
2. Reliability: Travelzoo’s Test Booking Center(TM) manually verifies
availability, accuracy of information and ease of booking for each
deal published. The deals provided by finalist companies exceeded
all the requirements of the testing process.
3. Consistency: Finalist companies consistently featured outstanding
deals week after week for Travelzoo subscribers.
4. Competitiveness: Deals provided by finalist companies surpassed
competitors when comparing overall value and offer details.
5. Appeal: Finalist companies consistently achieved between 4.5 and 6
(on a 6-point scale) in the user ratings collected by Travelzoo.
